Riverside's Labor Day Carnival

Every year on Labor Day we go to the Riverside Country Club Carnival. This year is was FREEZING! We had to dig out the cold weather clothes for the occasion . The Crazy thing is the temperature the day before was nearly 100. I guess that is Utah for you.

I love this picture of Lars

The kids had a great time on the swings!

Rain and Cotton Candy do not mix. It just turns into a gooey mess and sticks to everything!

Lars is stabbing worms with a fork. Yuck! ( Byron was egging him on from the sidelines)
After the carnival we drove up to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon.Even though the day started out cold and rainy it turned out to be a great day. Hey any day you get to spend with your family is a good day!

Hailey's Baptism

Hailey was Baptized on August 30th. This was such a special day for our family. I can not describe all that I was feeing this day as words would not do it justice. I can tell you how proud I was of both Hailey and Byron. The spirit was so strong and I was so touched by the power that the savior has. I know that Hailey made the right decision and I am so thankful for a husband who is worthy to perform such an important and sacred ceremony. It was truly an amazing experience.

Don't you just love Hailey's Haircut. She had it cut just a couple of days before her Baptism. She wasn't sure about getting it cut at first but she receives compliments everywhere she goes. There are even a few girls a church that want to get their hair cut like Hailey.

Hailey's 8th Birthday

On August 22nd Hailey turned 8 years old. I can't believe my baby girl is already 8! She wanted to have a "Color Me Mine" birthday party this year and since it costs a small fortune to take 8 kids to their studio to paint we decided to make our own "Color Me Mine" at our home. We went down to the local ceramic store and picked out something for the kids to paint. Hailey picked a few colors then we went to the dollar store and picked up some brushes and other party supplies. The kids had so much fun and it turned out to be a great party. Here are some pictures of the event.

The finished product. I wish I would have gotten a picture of all the kids with their vase as they all turned out so cute. I guess you will just have to take my word for it.

Happy Birthday Hailey We Are So Happy To Have You In Our Family!
